When the soil drinks the water

and the water eats the soil,

the dream of the nexus begins

The immersive performance installation Amniotic Antidote leads visitors into a distorted mirror of a ‘Kuranstalt‘. Intertwined into a surrealistic amalgam of science and emotion, the dystopic universe will explore questions of social alienation and of isolation and will search for possible cures. The iconographic leitmotif of water, which occurs in mythologies as well as in modern models of the world as the origin of life and medium for cleansing, is permeating the installation and is the center of the collective ritual.

For the installation Holubowska composed a 4 speaker spatial composition, combining vocal improvisations recorded during seaside walks, sounds of the sea, and glaziers. The artist also created an interactive sound installation with grown conductible crystals.

The concept by Last Oblivion, Tina Damgaard (SE) & Elena Biner (CH), was selected among 235 submissions from artists from over 50 countries for REAKTOR Potenziale‘s third call for concepts
